There are a lot of things that seem to have become the norm in Hollywood over the years with one of them being the invasion of hugely talented British actors, while the other is big screen adaptations of hit novels. Well, with the upcoming movie High-Rise we seem to have a bit of a mixture of the two.
British actor Tom Hiddleston stars in the movie High-Rise in the role of Dr. Robert Laing and he recently revealed a picture from the set of the movie. Along with Tom in the picture is Luke Evans, who plays the role of Richard Wilder in the film, while they are joined by director Ben Wheatley and his director of photography Laurie Rose.
For those of you who do not know a lot about the movie adaptation of High-Rise, the film centres on Dr. Robert Laing, an instructor from the local medical school, and Richard Wilder, a television documentary producer. The two find themselves living in the same tower block, with Laing on the 25th floor and Wilder on the second floor. As gangs and groups begin to develop, where you live on the block begins to have huge impacts on your life.
As well as starring Tom Hiddleston and Luke Evans, the movie High-Rose does also boast some other impressive Hollywood names including Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans, Elisabeth Moss, and James Purefoy, among others. As the picture shows, High-Rose is directed by Ben Wheatley from the screenplay Amy Jump has developed from the J.G. Ballard novel. High-Rise is currently without an official release date but it is expected to open sometime in 2015.
