It has been a couple of years now since we last saw British actor Tom Sturridge on the big screen, in the 2012 movie On the Road, as he decided to take a small break from the movie business to test his acting talents elsewhere. Fortunately though we are set to get plenty more of Tom in the coming year or so, as he has plenty of movie projects lined up.
The next time we will see Tom Sturridge on the big screen will be in the movie Effie Gray, which co-stars Dakota Fanning, Emma Thompson and Julie Walters, with a release date set for October 10 in the UK and November in the US. Following that, Tom will then star alongside a huge all-star cast including Christian Bale, Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, and Cate Blanchett, and many more, in the new Terrence Malick project, which is expected to open in 2015.
Next up, we have Tom Sturridge appearing in the Omer Fast film Remainder, which is also due out in 2015. After that we will see Tom joining Juno Temple, Carey Mulligan and Michael Sheen in the movie Far From the Madding Crowd, which will open on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK. Meanwhile, Sturridge is linked to a role alongside Kim Cattrall in the movie The Treehouse, which is currently in development.
So, for those of you who have been missing your fix of Tom Sturridge on the big screen for the past couple of years, you do not have to wait too much longer before a nice big Tom fix comes your way.
