Bayern Munich's midfielder Toni Kroos is hoping to recover from his injury in time for the German Cup final on June 1st. Bayern will face Stuttgart in the final which will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The midfielder has not yet given up hope on returning in time for the match even though Bayern's midfield has been doing pretty good since he went down with his injury.
Kroos has appeared for Bayern in 33 games this season and scored a total of 9 goals which is pretty impressive for a midfield player. He injured his left knee in the first knockout phase match of the Champions League against Juventus. The injury was so severe the player feared his season might be over. But after the surgery was done he has set a date to return right around the time of the German Cup Final match. The injury also caused him to miss out on the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
"I want to be back as soon as possible," he said. "The healing process is going well. We're making progress step-by-step." - the player said.
"I'm dreaming of the cup final, but it would be ridiculous to assume anything."
