So we are getting very close to revealing who our number one choice is on our Top 10 Christmas Movie Characters list, as we bring you number two on the list today. We have already brought you eight very strong performances so far, including Bruce Willis as John McLane in Die Hard, who was at number three yesterday, which brings us to our choice for number two, today.
Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf
While it is fair to say that the Die Hard movies are not exactly your typical Christmas films, Elf is the complete opposite, being a movie that gives you everything that you would love and expect from a Christmas movie. While Elf in itself is a fantastic film, it is the performance of Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf that really puts the film up there among the best Christmas movies around.
What makes Buddy the Elf so great, is the fact that he never lets anything get to him and he is always full of Christmas cheer, no matter what. The character has some hilarious scenes in the movie and it is arguably one of Will Ferrell's best performances on the big screen, giving us one of the greatest Christmas Movie Characters of all time.

Wouldn't it be great to see Will Ferrell back on the big screen as Buddy the Elf in an Elf sequel? Unfortunately there don't appear to be any plans for this to happen but we would be first in line to go see an Elf 2 movie.
