With the January transfer window just around the corner, there will be plenty of rumours flying around, about who will be buying who and for how much. While many of the big clubs will be linked to the usual stars, there is one rumour that has stuck out above the rest.

Wesley Sneijder lifting the Champions League trophy
It has been claimed that Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder will be heading to London, where he will finalise a deal to join Tottenham Hotspur, for a fee believed to be around £10m. Inter Milan and Tottenham are said to have agreed a fee and the player will now have contract talks with Spurs.
It is surprising that Wesley Sneijder, who is still in his prime at 28 years old, would join Tottenham Hotspur, when he has received interest from bigger clubs in the past. Wesley has been a long time target of Manchester United but Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out any January transfers, which has led to Spurs swooping in for Sneijder.

Wesley Sneijder playing for Holland
Wesley Sneijder has fallen out of favour with Inter Milan and has not played since refusing to take a pay cut on his current comtract. Inter Milan are now seeking to offload the midfielder and Tottenham Hotspur appear to have won the race for his signature.
However, transfer rumours are simply that, rumours, so don’t believe a word of it until he has signed on the dotted line.
