Following the huge success of the 2001 movie Training Day, fans around the world have been calling for a sequel, which we have still yet to get. However, the dream team behind that fantastic movie, Ethan Hawke, Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua, have all joined forces again, for the remake of the classic 1960 movie The Magnificent Seven. Now, Ethan has opened up about reuniting with Denzel and Antoine admitting that he had a great time on the film.
Hawke was chatting to the guys over at Den Of Geek, when he explained to them, "It was awesome. Are you kidding? It was so fantastic to be on set with Denzel and (director) Antoine (Fuqua, who also directed Training Day) again, and also to not be doing Training Day 2, but to do something completely unique and different."
He added, "Denzel and I have one scene in The Magnificent Seven that’s one of my favourites that I filmed. And it was great to be on set with Antoine. I did Brooklyn’s Finest with him as well. I love working with him. He’s got a huge anti-authority streak. He makes really heartfelt, powerful movies that really come from his gut."
As well as starring Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington, the rest of the cast of The Magnificent Seven is also very impressive, with such names as Chris Pratt, Matt Bomer, Vincent D'Onofrio, Peter Sarsgaard, Vinnie Jones, and Cam Gigandet, among others. As Ethan mentioned, The Magnificent Seven has been directed by Antoine Fuqua, with the movie set to hit the big screen on September 23 in both the US and the UK.
