There are a huge amount of very impressive television shows around today and, while they are all content with the amunt of success they achieve within the series, they would all love to get further recognition by winning some big awards. One of the biggest awards that these shows would love to have a chance of winning, is the Primetime Emmy Awards.
The 66th Primetime Emmy Award nominations have been announced and, while there have been a few pleasant surprises in these nominations, there have also been plenty of disappointments and snubs. One of the biggest snubs that the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards has made, is to the hit show Vikings, which sees the actor Travis Fimmel starring in the lead role.
It is hard to believe that Vikings has not landed a single Emmy nomination, as anyone who has seen the show will tell you just how impressive the series is. As well as telling fascinating stories, with fantastic backdrops, there have also been plenty of impressive performances by the stars of the show and none more so that Travis Fimmel as Ragnar Lothbrok.
Some people have suggested that Vikings has been overlooked by the Emmys for the simple fact that it is a History Channel original series and not on one of the bigger networks. Travis Fimmel mesmerises as Ragnar Lothbrok and the show progresses at the perfect pace, leaving you wanting more at the end of every episode.
