It has been suggested that the movie Tron 3 has already been given the green light and that it is likely that production will start next year. The claims have been made by actor Bruce Boxleitner, who plays the character Tron and Alan Bradley in the Tron movies.
Bruce explained that the third instalment of the Tron franchise is already a done deal but would have to wait for a while. He said, “Oh, it's already a done deal. It's already in the works, my friend. It takes a long time to make these things; we won't get to it until next year anyway."
The original Tron movie was made way back in 1982 and it was almost three decades before the sequel Tron: Legacy was made. The second Tron movie received a very average response from the critics but the fact that it has made almost $400million means a sequel makes perfect financial sense.
