It has been confirmed that vampire king-megalomaniac, Russell Edgington is set to return to the hit HBO vampire series True Blood, in the upcoming fifth season of the show. The news comes from the mouth of the person who should know best, Denis O’Hare, who portrays Russell Edgington in the show. Russell was last seen being buried in cement by Bill and Eric but it seems that, that was not enough to see him off.
Denis has confirmed that True Blood creator Alan Ball has come up with a novel way for him to return to the show in season five. O’Hare explained, “I’m not going to come back to True Blood until mid-March (meaning mid-season once it airs). I had a meeting with Alan last week, and they have devised an amazing trick to allow me to be present, but not fully acting.”
It was confirmed back in August that True Blood would be returning to HBO for a fifth season and it is expected to run for 12 episodes. You can see the return of Russell Edgington in True Blood Season Five, which is expected to premiere on HBO on June 24, 2012.
