Actress Anna Paquin has been in the acting industry since she was just a young girl and even managed to pick up an Oscar along the way, taking home the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award for her role in the movie The Piano. Since then, Anna has gone on to play Rogue in the X-Men movies, while she also stars in the hit HBO series True Blood.
While on True Blood, Anna Paquin met Stephen Moyer and the couple soon began dating. The couple got married on August 21, 2010, and they announced the birth of their son Charlie and their daughter Poppy, who were born in September 2012. What some of you might not know is that Anna Paquin is actually bisexual and proud.
On Monday, nine days into LGBT Pride Month, Anna Paquin posted a simple tweet about her sexuality and her happiness, which simply read, "Proud to be a happily married bisexual mother. Marriage is about love not gender."
It is not the first time that Anna Paquin has opened up about her sexuality, as she previously stated back in 2012, "If you're going to talk about some cause in a way that's meaningful, you should identify why it means something to you. For a bisexual, it's not about gender. That's not the deciding factor for who they're attracted to."
As for her acting career, Anna Paquin continues in her role as Sookie Stackhouse in the hit HBO vampire series True Blood, which is preparing for its season seven premiere, which will air on Sunday, June 22. The new season of True Blood will also be the last.
