A lot of people have been criticising the latest season of Two and a Half Men claiming that the show has lost its edge now that Charlie Sheen has gone. The premiere of this season managed to bring in the CBS shows highest ever ratings and it appears that Two and a Half Men is continuing to grow.
Research has shown that, in the past 12 months Two and a Half Men has been making quite a gain on shows such as The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. In 2010, The Big Bang Theory was pulling in 10% more audience interest than Two and a Half Men but now the tables have turned.
Two and a Half Men has not only gained on The Big Bang Theory in audience interest, it has actually surpassed it and now holds a 15% lead over its fellow CBS show. Meanwhile, How I Met Your Mother was pulling in well over double the audience interest of Two and a Half Men but is now only 90% up.
These figures show that, while many are disappointed that Charlie Sheen is no longer a part of Two and a Half Men, it has actually grown in interest. It is without doubt that Two and a Half Men will return for a tenth season, with Ashton Kutcher remaining on the show. Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother air on Monday nights on CBS, while The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursdays.
