When actor Charlie Sheen was sacked from the hit CBS series Two and a Half Men, there were a lot of people who were unsure how the show was going to be able to cope without its star actor. However, Ashton Kutcher was then cast as his replacement and the show has managed to cope for the past few seasons.
With that said, Two and a Half Men has started to become a bit stale and CBS have decided that the time is now right to call it a day with the show, although they do already have plans for its replacement. CBS are planning to create the new show Two and a Half Women, which will be created by the Two and a Half Men mastermind Chuck Lorre.
As with the early Two and a Half Men seasons, Two and a Half Women will focus on two sisters living together, while one of them has to take care of their young daughter. So far, there has been no word on who will play the three key roles in the show, although Imogen Poots and Alexandra Daddario are favourites for the sisters, while Nicolette Pierini is set to play the daughter.
Meanwhile, there is also some early talk that we will see the occasional guest appearance from some of the Two and a Half Men stars including Ashton Kutcher, Angus T. Jones and Jon Cryer. The last Two and a Half Men season will air next year and will then be replaced by Two and a Half Women in its usual slot on CBS.
