British Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has opted not to fight David Price and has instead decided to relinquish his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles. David Price recently won the English heavyweight title with a 75 second demolition of John McDermott, putting him in the prime position to fight Tyson Fury. However, Tyson has decided to move on to bigger and better things.
He explained, "I'm really excited about my future plans as I'm doing things differently and currently training like a Trojan in pursuit of becoming heavyweight champion of the world. It's been an honour to have won and held both the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles, but as I'm now currently number seven in the world it's time to move on."
While he claims to be moving up in class, it does seem more like Tyson Fury is too scared to fight David Price. When the two met in the amateurs, David Price beat Tyson Fury and since then, David Price has looked very impressive, while Tyson Fury has looked average. It should only be a matter of time until these two meet but for now Tyson Fury can continue to run.
