Olympic legend Usain Bolt proved that he was more than worthy of that title, with his impressive performances at the London 2012 Olympics last year and he is set to return for the Anniversary Games in July. Usain says that he cannot wait to go back to London, as he feels that the crowd there was simply amazing.
Bolt explained, "I'm looking forward to coming back to the UK, especially with it being a year since winning three gold medals in the Olympic Stadium. The crowd were amazing at the Games, and I hope they will be out again in their numbers at the end of July."
He added, "I haven’t competed at the London Diamond League since 2009 but it has always been a great meet with lots of Jamaican support. It almost feels like running at home."
Usain Bolt will be competing in two events at the Anniversary Games in London, with the 100m event taking place on Friday, July 26 and then the 4x100m taking place a day later.
As for the British athletes competing, they will include Mo Farah contesting the 3,000m, Jessica Ennis in the 100m hurdles and high jump, Greg Rutherford in the long jump and Robbie Grabarz in the high jump.
