There has been a lot of talk and discussions about gay rights for many years now and, while we are slowly but surely beginning to see a positive change surrounding same-sex relationships, there are still a lot of problems that gay couples face. We have seen many celebrities coming out to speak about gay rights, trying to help spread the word that it is nothing to be ashamed of and to help push the issues that gay people face.
Actress Vanessa Hudgens is one of these stars who has been vocal about her support of gay rights, with the actress considering herself a gay rights advocate. Vanessa says that it should not make a difference who the person is, as long as love comes first.
Hudgens explained, "People can be very close-minded and I think it’s not right. I don’t think it’s fair. I think it’s important for us to stand up for people and to have each other’s back, and to be involved with the gay community and support the community. I’m a very open person. Love comes first for me. I don’t see people as gay or straight."
As far as her acting career is concerned, Vanessa Hudgens has been enjoying herself on Broadway, leading the cast of the production of Gigi, while she also has some other big screen and small screen projects coming up. Vanessa will appear in the FOX television adaptation of Grease: Live, while she is also set to appear on the big screen in the movie Kitchen Sink, as well as lending her voice to a character in the animated movie The Great Migration.
