Viggo Mortensen's career has been one of the longest and most diverse in Hollywood, and he looks set to continue that streak over the next few years. Although his career took off with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, he's been very careful about his career moves and his managed to build a resume with very high-profile jobs that are not necessarily blockbusters.
Mortensen famously turned down several major blockbuster roles, including the rumored role of the Huntsman in Snow White and the Huntsman. However, he was most recently seen in the critically acclaimed On The Road and A Dangerous Method.
He has a busy couple of years, but he's currently filming a movie called 'Far From Men', with the synopsis of the movie, "A French teacher in a small Algerian village during the Algerian War forms an unexpected bond with a dissident is ordered to turn in to the authorities.."
He also stars in a film called 'The Two Faces of January' and also the untitled Lisandro Alonso project. Apart from that, Mortenson is looking to direct 'The Horsecatcher' and is apparently rumored as starring in 'The Last Voyage of Demeter'.
