When it was revealed that Vin Diesel was going to work on a Marvel movie, it did not take long before fans worked out that he would voice the character Groot on the upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy. Vin loves to keep his fans informed with the progress of his movies and Guardians of the Galaxy has been no different.
While it is not expected that Groot will say too much in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vin Diesel has had to go in to do his voice over work, discovering a good omen along the way. Back in 1998 Vin Diesel recorded his voice for the movie The Iron Giant and now, 15 years later, it seems that the same recording team are still there.
Diesel explained, "Some of you may remember the character I voiced back in 1998. Last month I had the opportunity to voice a new character, on the Disney lot… and I was shocked to see the same sound engineer, Doc, who was there when Brad Bird was directing me 15 years earlier, as the Iron Giant. As artists we are susceptible to clocking omens… and this was a great sign."
That was not all that Vin Diesel shared with his fans, as he also revealed how he had seen a lot of the movie already and admitted that he is already blown away by it. You can discover what Vin Diesel has brought to Groot, when Guardians of the Galaxy hits the big screen on August 1 in both the US and the UK.
