It is fair to say that Vin Diesel is not the most accomplished actor on the big screen, in fact he seems to only be capable of playing the tough guy. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing, as it means that we get to see him in the highly anticipated movie Riddick, which is released later this year.

Vin Diesel's big break came in the movie Pitch Black, which saw him play Riddick for the first time and proved to be hugely success, both with critics and at the box office. That led to the big budget sequel The Chronicles of Riddick, which lost its way a little and was fairly disappointing.
With that said, the news that the third instalment, Riddick is set to go back to what made Pitch Black so great, has really got us buzzed with excitement and , the nearer we get to the release date and the more promo material we see, the more that excitement and anticipation continues to grow.

While Vin Diesel will return to the role of Riddick, the movie will also star Katee Sackhoff, Karl Urban, Dave Bautista and Bokeem Woodbine. Riddick is written and directed by David Twohy and will open on September 3. It simply cannot come soon enough!
