Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel has enjoyed a long and successful career in the acting industry, but it seems that things have not always been so easy for the actor, who has opened up about his struggles in the early days. Vin says that he had a lot of problems in the early days, but fortunately it all worked out for him in the end.
Diesel told Men's Health, "It just didn’t happen that first time, and that difficulty helped shape me, too. Back then, I think I was trying to overcompensate for being so big and for having this darkness from being a bouncer – things that were probably getting in the way of me making it as an actor at the time – and I think that pushed me toward writing and directing."
Well it has clearly worked for Vin Diesel, who has now become one of the biggest actors in Hollywood today, however he has admitted that, while his fanbase continues to grow, he is not too big a fan of sharing too much with them. Vin does occasionally take to social media to share movie news with his fans and followers, but he says he prefers to keep his personal life private.
Diesel added, "It’s a social media age and I want to be smart about connecting with my fans, my people. But the truth is I’m an old-school Hollywood guy – like Harrison Ford or George Clooney or even (Marlon) Brando – who doesn’t want my private life out there in certain ways. I think it’s better when people go to see my movies and that there’s some sense of mystery about who I am. Maybe there’s a contradiction there – I’m still figuring it out."
Things are still going well for Vin Diesel, who will return to the big screen in some exciting new movies, including Fast and Furious 8, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
