So we have all had plenty of time now, to let the DC movie Suicide Squad really sink in and, for those of us who have watched the movie more times than was probably necessary, we now have a very solid opinion on the comic book movie. While it was not the greatest film of the year, Suicide Squad was not exactly the worst either, and we really enjoyed the characters in the film.

One of the characters we really enjoyed, was that of Amanda Waller, who is played by Viola Davis in Suicide Squad. Now though, Viola is moving on from her time on Suicide Squad, by taking on a role in a new project, which is currently in pre-production. Davis will play the lead role in the upcoming new movie Widows, which we are very interested in seeing.
While there is not a great deal of information known about what to expect from this new movie, Widows has been officially described as, "When a crew of crooks are killed during a robbery, their widowed spouses pick up where they left off." Now this definitely sounds like it will contain some big roles for some other talented actresses in Hollywood.

While Viola Davis is the only Hollywood name that is currently attached to the project, we are sure that we will see plenty of other big names joining the cast of Widows. Meanwhile, Steve McQueen is on directing duties for the project, as well as having a hand in the screenplay for the movie, with Widows aiming for a 2018 release, although the exact date is not yet known.
