Elizabeth Banks has proven herself to be one of the more talented actresses in Hollywood as a leading lady and her film "Walk of Shame" supports this contention. The movie was released recently in the theaters and on iTunes and while it did not has not fared exceptionally well on the big screen it is a top-seller on iTunes as they were both released simultaneously. The critics have not been enamoured of the movie but they have singled out Elizabeth Banks for praise for her lead role portrayal of a Los Angeles television anchor who gets dumped by her fiance and passed over for a network job on the same day.
Entertainment insiders were very impressed by how she embraced every aspect of this physical comedy and showed the comedic dramatic talent that has made her a star in movies such as "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Pitch Perfect". Unfortunately, her new film seems to have also created legal problems for her and her producer husband Max Handleman.
The actress has been accused by "Shame on You Productions" who are managed by Dan Rosen of stealing the idea for the show. These are only allegations at the moment as nothing has been proven but it does cast a cloud over what has been another stellar performance by Elizabeth Banks.
Entertainment insiders do not foresee it impacting her at the moment as she is in huge demand at the moment in Hollywood. She is currently filming "Pitch Perfect 2", a movie in which she stars and directs and also is filming "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2".
There will likely be no resolution to the lawsuit anytime soon but one thing that cannot be questioned is her effort and quality of acting that Elizabeth Banks provided to the movie "Walk of Shame" as her ability to show the different emotions that can lead to some questionable decisions illustrates why she is one of Hollywood's favourite leading ladies for filmmakers.
