Katy Perry debuted a new song at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night and some of the lyrics seem like they were being aimed at her ex Russell Brand. They lyrics to the song talk about how she was drained by her relationship and that there are a few things that she never really actually liked about it and many people have questioned whether they were inspired by her marriage to Russell Brand.
Perry’s lyrics included, "You chewed me up and spit me out. Like I was poison in your mouth. You took my light, you drained me down... You ripped me off, your love was cheap." Further lyrics included, "You can keep the dog from me, I never liked him anyway," as well as, "Keep your diamond ring. In fact, you can keep everything... Except for me."
Katy Perry and Russell Brand first met back in 2008 and the couple began dating, after meeting again at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009. Katy and Russell announced their engagement in December 2009 and were married in October 2010. However, after 14 months of marriage, Katy Perry and Russell Brand decided to get a divorce. Celebrity marriage never seems to work anymore.
