Jared Padalecki is obviously best known for his long and recurring role on the hit CW show 'Supernatural'. In fact, Supernatural is probably one of the longest-running scripted dramas, if not the longest, to ever grace network television. Sure, we've had comedies like Friends, but have we ever had a supernatural thriller/drama last that long?
Anyway, this leads us to the real question of what the leads will do when the show inevitably reaches its end and wraps up production. Right now, the producers have been open about their plans to end the show after the tenth season, and Jared Padalecki and his co-stars are officially signed on to the 9th and 10th season, provided both get picked up. The 9th obviously got picked up already and is underway, and it's very likely the 10th will get picked up as well.
But after the show wraps following its tenth season, it should really be interesting to see how Jared's career fares. In addition to Supernatural, he's had a few movies and guest spots on other TV shows, but by and large, it's been pretty quiet. It's understandable, considering how much time and effort Supernatural takes up, but it'll definitely be interesting to see what he does when he does have the time.
Apart from Supernatural, he's probably best known for Friday the 13th, House of Wax, and Gilmore Girls. I doubt he'll go back to doing another CW show, but he could easily land a network pilot or continue doing horror films. He'll probably have solid success in both, considering his background on Supernatural.
