Disney have brought us some simply fantastic animated movies over the years but it seems that there has never been one quite as big as there most recent movie Frozen, which has gone on to become a hugely popular and very successful film. DUe to the huge success that Frozen has become, there has been a lot of talk about a potential Frozen sequel being made, but we could have to wait some time to finally see Frozen 2 on the big screen.
It was recently announced how Frozen has now managed to take a staggering $1.21bn worldwide, which makes it the fifth highest grossing movie of all time, so there is no doubt that we will definitely see a Frozen sequel in the future. However, despite the huge demand for Frozen 2, it has been claimed that there are no solid plans in place to start making the movie, which means that we will definitely have to wait a while for the film.
There have been plenty of rumours going around about when we will see Frozen 2, hit the big screen, while most of the cast of Frozen have expressed a keen interest in reprising their roles for a sequel. The general consensus seems to be that we will not see Frozen 2 released until at least 2017, with many others claiming that it will not be until 2018. That is far too long for our liking.
For those of you who have yet to see Frozen, shame on you, it is officially described as "Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter."
Frozen features the voices of a number of big Hollywood stars, including Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana, Alan Tudyk and Ciarán Hinds, among others. We cannot wait for a Frozen sequel and hope Disney pull their fingers out and make it a priority.
