When Troy Gentile first hit the big screen playing younger versions of Jack Black in both Nacho Libre and Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, people thought he was a star in the making. Since then he has appeared in a number of movies and has impressed every time.
People started referring to Troy Gentile as the new Jonah Hill, however it has not yet really worked out for the young actor. Meanwhile, there are questions being asked as to whether skinny Jonah Hill will still be as funny, which could open up the door for Troy.
However, Troy Gentile has not been seen on the big screen since he appeared in the 2009 movie Hotel for Dogs and it does not seem that he has any movies in the pipe line. For now it seems that the career of Troy Gentile will always be remembered as one of much promise and potential, yet it seems like that potential may never be fulfilled.
