It has been well over twenty years since Who Framed Roger Rabbit hit the big screen but it appears that a script for a sequel is currently being worked on. The movie was quite a hit at the worldwide box office, which makes it surprising that the sequel wasn’t made sooner.
However, director Robert Zemeckis has confirmed that he is interested in getting Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2 off the ground and since his Yellow Submarine project has died out, there may well be a space in his schedule to get the wheels seriously rolling.
The two goes, Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman who penned the original screenplay for the movie, are reportedly scribbling away their ideas for a new movie. Yet the script is incomplete and casting hasn’t even begun yet, so Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2 could be a few years away yet. Keep checking in for updates.
