With The Dark Knight trilogy coming to the end earlier this year, it marked the end of Christian Bale as Batman, meaning a new actor will be taking the reins for a future reboot. Christian was praised by many for his performances as the Caped Crusader but is he the best Batman.
Michael Keaton as Batman
While Christian Bale was praised by many for his performances, there were still those that did not feel that he was right for the job and one fan in particular was outraged by Bale’s Batman. However, there is no denying that he was better than George Clooney, who flopped in Batman and Robin.
Before Clooney, Val Kilmer played Batman in Batman Forever and, in all fairness he did not do too bad a job. His performance was certainly better than George Clooney and, if he had have done future Batman films he could have rivalled Christian Bale.
Adam West as Batman
Unfortunately for Kilmer, the quality of The Dark Knight trilogy just gives Christian Bale the edge but Bale’s Batman does not compare to that of Michael Keaton. Keaton played Batman in the Tim Burton films Batman and Batman Returns and outshines all of those already mentioned.
While Michael Keaton was a great Batman on the big screen, our favourite Batman will always be Adam West who starred as the Caped Crusader in the 1960s television series. Who is you favourite Batman and why?
