So, 2012 has been a huge year for movies and we finally got to cast our eyes on the final Christopher Nolan Batman movie, when The Dark Knight Rises hit the big screen. While many loved the Nolan Dark Knight trilogy, there were also those that thought he had ruined the films.

Christopher Nolan's Batman
Either way, Christopher Nolan is now finished with the Batman franchise, which means that we will be getting another Batman reboot, with a new star playing the lead and a new director at the helm. However, taking on such a legendary character is always a big risk and fans will be hoping for a big name director.
It is expected that we will next see Batman in the Justice League movie in 2015 and, if DC hope to achieve what Marvel have been doing, that actor will play Batman in the reboot. Many names have been listed as the next Batman but who will direct the reboot?

Tim Burton's Batman Returns
Batman fans will no doubt admit that they would have loved Joss Whedon but his links to Marvel rule him out. Zack Snyder is said to be doing a great job on Man of Steel but would he really be able to carry the weight of DC’s two biggest characters on the big screen? Looper director Rian Johnson has declared and interest in the Batman franchise but it not the man for us.
While many of you may think it an odd call, the one director that would do a fantastic job is Tim Burton. Tim’s Batman movies were superb and with the way movie making has progressed, Burton could certainly do justice to the character. There’s also the fact that Tim Burton is a bit on the nutty side and all of the best Batman characters are as crazy.
Who do you think should direct the Batman reboot?
