The Dark Knight Rises will mark the end of the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy and well also see Christian Bale stepping down as the caped crusader. It has already been confirmed that the Batman franchise will once again get a reboot, so who should play Batman?

Well there are a few key points to take into consideration when trying to cast Batman for the big screen. As fans of Batman will know, Bruce Wayne is a tall, attractive gentleman who has a perfect jaw line and also looks very good in a suit.
Add to that the fact that he also has to have a rather muscular physique and you have already managed to rule out a number of Hollywood’s leading men. So who does that really leave? Well one name that we have heard mentioned is Ryan Gosling, who could easily portray the suave, rich, playboy and also has the frame of a man who can take care of himself in a punch up.

Then there is Robert Pattinson, who many would be quick to dismiss. However, Robert is a very capable actor and with the right script and the right director, he could well make a good Bruce Wayne and in turn a good Batman. Robert Pattinson as Batman would also draw in the Twilight crowd, giving Batman a new fan base. He would have to bulk up a bit though.
