While most of the talk surrounding Star Wars: Episode VII seems to be about which original characters will return, there is the burning question of who will be the main villain? With the Emperor now destroyed, will we see a new villain posing a threat to the Jedi Order?
Well, if we look to the Expanded Universe, there are plenty of options for who could be the villain in Star Wars: Episode VII. There is the story of the Emperor using a member of the Emperor’s Hand as a host to reincarnate himself. There is also the story of Prince Xizor but that seems a bit out of sync for Star Wars: Episode VII.
The villain that we would love to see in Star Wars: Episode VII is Lumiya, who was a member of the Emperor’s Hand. The story would work great on the big screen, with Lumiya taking on a fallen Jedi as her apprentice of the Dark Side, who is none other than Jacen Solo.
With Star Wars: Episode VII focussing more on the Skywalker and Solo children, this story could fit in perfectly. Star Wars: Episode VII is still in the process of being written, with J.J. Abrams on board to direct the film, which has a release date planned for 2015.
