When it comes to talking about who is the best player in the world, you can guarantee that it is always going to come down to Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi but there are a few young stars beginning to make a name for themselves on the global scene. One such star is PSV Eindhoven midfielder Memphis Depay, who many are dubbing the new Cristiano Ronaldo.
Memphis Depay has really come into his own over the course of the past couple of years and the young star was picked for the Holland squad for World Cup 2014 in Brazil, where he managed to score a goal in their second group match against Australia. This made Memphis Depay the youngest Dutchman to ever score in a World Cup, at the age of just 20 years and 4 months.
Meanwhile, Memphis Depay has been getting a lot of interest from many of the top European clubs in the game, including the likes of English Premier League clubs Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. However, it looks like Memphis will be heading to the Spanish La Liga, where he will join the giants of Real Madrid.
It is believed that Memphis Depay will command a fee of around 21 million euros, although this fee has been fluctuating in different reports. If Memphis Depay does join Real Madrid, it is like that we will Angel Di Maria leaving the club, with Manchester United also interest in taking the Argentinian star on board.
It is going to be a very interesting transfer window this Summer, with plenty of big moves.
