It appears that things are really heating in the battle to win the role of Harry Osborn for the movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We have already recently learnt that Dane DeHann (Chronicle), Alden Ehrenreich (Beautiful Creatures) and Brady Corbet (Melancholia) have tested for the role and now a few more names have been testing as Harry Osborn.
Douglas Booth in the running to play Harry Osborn
Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Eddie Redmayne (My Week With Marilyn, Les Miserables), Douglas Booth (LOL, Noah), and Boyd Holbrook (Hatfields & McCoys, The Host) have all been seen heading for screen testing with Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb.
It is likely that we will not get a final decision on who will be playing Harry Osborn for quite a few weeks yet but with production expected to begin next year, we should find out sooner rather than later. We are not overly fussed who wins the role as Harry Osborn, as long as they do a good job on the big screen.
Shailene Woodley will play Mary Jane Watson
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will see the return Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley will be appearing as Mary Jane Watson and Jamie Foxx is tipped to play Electro. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is released on April 18, 2014 in the UK and May 2, 2014 in the US.
