Ariel Winter is officially free of the control of her mother and brother after courts have officially granted the seventeen-years old actor 'emancipation' after the "Department of Children and Family Services found evidence of her mom Chrisoula Workman having emotionally abused her.

This decision is huge on a number of different levels as some fans suspect it will give her more control over the money she has earned on her hit television show "Modern Family" and also potentially open the doors to her pursuing and playing more 'mature' film roles.
The actress thanked her family and friends, in particular her sisters and father and provided a hint about her plans with part of social media Twitter message when she noted how excited she is "to embark on her (my) new adventures" (Time - May 16).

She recently appeared in the dramatic movie "Safelight", a film that is receiving critical acclaim and she is considered not only one of the most popular actresses on "Modern Family" but an actress who is quietly becoming a 'dream/fantasy' woman for young boys between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years old.
Now that she is in control of her own affairs after the legal settlement reached between her and her mother just before the case went to court some social media entertainment observers believe Ariel Winter is going to become one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood and could soon be keeping busy during her breaks away from "Modern Family" with big screen projects.
Ariel Winter is a young actress who is now in 'control of her life' and has some fans wondering what direction she will take with her entertainment career and if other young actors will follow her path in the future.
