The CW are enjoying great success with their new television series Arrow and it has already been confirmed that there will be a number of DC characters appearing in the show. But will we get to see anything of Batman or Superman? Well, while that would certainly boost ratings for the show, producer Andrew Kreisberg has admitted that it is not likely.
Kreisberg told The Hollywood Reporter, “I'm not entirely sure you'll be seeing characters like Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman because they're much more fantastical and right now we're focusing on Oliver Queen as being the only hero.”
He added, “We're looking forward to bringing on other DC Comics characters and characters that people have never really seen before. That's what's been fun for us; Superman will always get his due [on TV and film].”
One DC character we have already seen in Arrow is China White, who is played by Kelly Hu. Kelly recently admitted that Arrow is much grittier than people may expect. Arrow continues on The CW every Wednesday night at 8/7c and is set to premiere in the UK on Sky1 at 8pm on October 22.
