A big screen adaptation of the hit Jake Adelstein novel Tokyo Vice has been in the works for some time now and the movie is still making steady progress. Earlier in the year, it was claimed that British actor Daniel Radcliffe was being eyed to star in Tokyo Vice but will that actually happen?
While Tokyo Vice is still in the script writing stage, which is being written by J. T. Rogers, with Jake Adelsteing overlooking proceedings, it is still expected that shooting for the film will begin in early 2014. Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe will appear in Frankenstein, which is also expected to shoot early next year.
With that said, it does look unlikely that Daniel Radcliffe will be able to be in Tokyo Vice, due to his commitments to starring in Frankenstein. However, it is not unheard of for an actor to film two movies at once and there is also the fact that one of these films could film at a later date than the other.
Jake Adelstein did also previously admit that he would love to see Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role, so we will just have to wait and see. Tokyo Vice will be directed by Anthony Mandler and is due to open sometime in 2015. We will keep you posted as we get more.
