Freddie Stroma's career really took off after he landed the role of Cormac McLaggen in the Harry Potter films, and he's since landed several high-profile roles in Hollywood. Perhaps his best known role since the Potter films is his supporting role in the breakout hit Pitch Perfect, which came out in 2012. He's also starred in After The Dark, Extreterrestrial, The Inbetweeners 2, and several episodes of the TV series Un-Real.
However, Pitch Perfect 2 was recently greenlit and has already started filming, prompting questions about Stroma's possible return to the franchise. His Twitter account doesn't have any mention of him being on set for the movie's production, even though they're currently filming, based on actress Rebel Wilson's tweets. Instead, he's been promoting Inbetweeners 2, which is his next theatrical release.
His role in Pitch Perfect 2 is also being listed as 'rumored' on IMDB, as opposed to confirmed. However, his role in Pitch Perfect was very small and could probably be filmed in a few days, and it's possible a similar schedule for Pitch Perfect 2. He could be under contract not to talk about it, or he may just be filming his role for a few days. Either way, we really don't have any confirmation that he'll definitely be returning to the film. However, based on the circumstantial evidence at hand, I'd say it's a possibility that we will see Luke back in action.
Stroma did only get his first on-screen credit in 2006, so regardless of his involvement with the Pitch Perfect films, he really has come a long way in a very short amount of time.
