Hollywood superstar Will Smith has made some very good movies during his acting career but, over the course of the past few years, he has also made quite a fair amount of flops, which has led to people to call for him to get back to what he does best. Will has been linked to a number of sequels to his best movies over the years and it looks like one of them might actually happen in the near future.
Will Smith teamed up with Martin Lawrence for the hit movie Bad Boys, which was a very popular and successful film and led to the making of Bad Boys 2, which saw the double team return but failed to quite hit the same high marks of the original film. With that said, there has still been plenty of talk about Bad Boys 3 being made and it looks more likely to happen now than ever before.
Many people have suggested that Will Smith is far too busy with other projects to work on Bad Boys 3 and the actor does have a lot of new projects lined up for the coming years, but the fact that Bad Boys 3 has a director on board and has been given an official release date makes us more hopeful than ever before, that we will finally get to see our favourite cop duo back together on the big screen.
While Will Smith is expected to return to reprise his role as Mike Lowry, with Martin Lawrence back as Marcus Burnett, the young actor Derrick Gilbert has been cast to play the role of Mike Jr. Meanwhile, Joe Carnahan has been lined up to direct Bad boys 3, which is aiming for a June 2, 2017 release date in the US. We are not holding our breath for this to happen but we will keep our fingers crossed.
