It was recently claimed that Kanye West and Will Smith were going to collaborate on a project together, after the two rappers were spotted in Mexico together. Those rumours have now increased further, after Will Smith and Kanye West spent some time in Brazil together.

While there, Will and Kanye headed to a studio together, where they hooked up with a DJ to get a feel for the funk sound that was happening in Rio. That particular person was DJ Batutinha, who claims that Kanye and Will were referred by a friend.
The DJ told The Sun, "Kanye was keen to get to learn more about the funk in Rio and a Dj friend of mine referred him to me. Will and him went to the studio to get to know the sound of the funk better. They thought we could all work out something together and launch this new project."

Kanye West and Will Smith have known each other for many years now and it is only the fact that Will Smith has been so focussed on his acting career that they have not worked on anything before. However, Will Smith does have a lot of movie projects lined up, so this could have just been a bit of holiday fun.
