There has been a lot of talk about the potential plot of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and which characters we can expect to see in the movie, asides from the returning characters from the original trilogy. There was a lot of talk about Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens focusing on the children of the original Star Wars heroes, which would mean we would get to see Jaina Solo appearing in the film.
Daisy Ridley stars in the movie
When the cast for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens was announced and we saw that Daisy Ridley was appearing in the movie, many people suggested that we would see the actress taking on the role of Jaina Solo in the film. However, we have since learned the identity of a lot of the cast members of the movie, including Daisy who is playing a character named Rey. So are we actually going to see Jaina Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens?
Well, it would seem a bit odd to have a film starring the ageing Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia, without having their children appearing in the movie in some way, even if it was a brief cameo appearance. We are still convinced that we will get to see Jaina Solo appearing in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens in quite a big role and are just waiting for the announcement of which star will be playing the role.
Will Jaina Solo appear in the film?
It could be that the identities that we have been given already are just a cover and that Daisy Ridley will in fact play Jaina Solo. Meanwhile, there are other actress, such as Christina Chong and Jessica Henwick, who have yet to have their character revealed, so could one of them be playing Jaina Solo? We will just have to wait and see.
