Ever since the successful release of the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid, which went on to make an impressive $343m worldwide, there has been plenty of talk about a potential Karate Kid sequel being made and it finally looks set to happen. It was recently confirmed that the script for The Karate Kid 2 is complete and that Breck Eisner has signed on to direct the movie, which means production will surely begin sooner rather than later.
While it is pretty much a guarantee that we will see the return of Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan in The Karate Kid 2, it is not as clear as to which other stars from the first movie we will see returning for the sequel. One star that we would love to see back in The Karate Kid 2, is the beautiful Chinese actress Wenwen Han, who played the love interest of Jaden Smith in The Karate Kid.
As some of you may well know, Wenwen Han has not appeared in any other Hollywood movies apart from The Karate Kid, either before or after the 2010 film, so it would be interesting to see whether she will be asked to return for the sequel, or if she would even be interested in making her acting return.
If The Karate Kid 2 follows in the footsteps of the original movies then we will see a new love interest for Jaden Smith, which would mean no place for Wenwen Han, but we would love to see her back on the big screen. As of yet there is not a great deal known about the plot for The Karate Kid 2 so we will just have to wait and see what happens.
Would you like to see Wenwen Han reprising her role for The Karate Kid 2?
