There has been a very mixed response to the news that a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie reboot is being made, especially since Michael Bay, who is producing the film, claimed that they were not staying try to the original material. Fortunately though, a good cast is being put together, which should hopefully win over the doubters.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cast is already rather good and now another top name has been added to it. William Fichtner might not be a Hollywood A-Lister but he is certainly a very good actor and he has confirmed that he will play the role of Shredder in the reboot.
Fichtner explained to Huffpost TV Canada [via JoBlo], "I play Shredder. It is cool. It’s one of those things that came along where I thought, ‘Really? Let me think about this for a minute.’ [Laughs] Then I was like, ‘Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey.’ I’m very glad that it worked out, I’m really glad that I’m doing it."
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cast includes Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher and Whoopi Goldberg, to name just a few. Joel Liebesman is directing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which has a release date set for May 16, 2014 in the UK and June 6, 2014 in the US.
