Actor William Sadler recently announced on Twitter that he will be joining the cast of "The Flash" as Simon Stagg and it is an announcement that surprised and excited fans. The character in the DC Comics is a corrupt executive and thus fans have made the assumption that this is the role the talented actor will be playing with his announcement and the fact that he has already uploaded a picture of the script binder for the show which has his name already on the front.

If ever there was an actor that seemed almost perfect  for a role it is William Sadler. He is a film and television veteran who has been spectacular in many of his roles throughout his long career but one role in which he was particularly memorable was that of Colonel Stuart in "Die Hard 2". In this move he showed that he was not a good villain or even a very good villain. No, in "Die Hard 2" opposite Bruce Willis he proved to be an exceptional villain whom fans years afterwards still remember for his scene stealing performance.

He is scheduled to appear on the second episode of The CW's "The Flash" which will put him back in touch with "The Flash" director David Nutter whom he worked with on "Disturbing Behavior", "The Pacific" and the pilot for "Roswell".

It was a great sign for those who love the comic book "The Flash" to see the name William Sadler associated with the character Simon Stagg as he is an actor who is unafraid of not being liked and thus will do justice to the role of the character as a villain.

William Sadler is about to put the 'villain' into "The Flash" as Simon Stagg and with his dramatic range and toughness he will likely be fantastic in this role.
