While it is fair to say that the news that J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars Episode VII has been met with a mixed response, one person has made his feelings clear. William Shatner has been talking about J.J. Abrams directing Star Wars: Episode VII, when he called him a pig.

During an interview with Movie Fanatic, Shatner explained, “He's being a pig. He's probably the most talented director of that ilk we have. But, he's gone too far this time.” However, it could be that William Shatner was only having a bit of fun.
Star Wars: Episode VII is currently being written by Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) and is expected to be released sometime in 2015, although J.J. Abrams is reportedly not ready to commit to an official release date.
