Following the success of the 2005 horror movie Wolf Creek, it was almost certain that there was going to be a sequel, which was revealed earlier this year. Now, some of the plot details for Wolf Creek 2 have been revealed and it seems that we are set for a lot of chase scenes. John Jarrett, who played the serial killer Mick Taylor in Wolf Creek, is returning for Wolf Creek 2 and he revealed a little about what fans can expect.
Jarrett explained, "It's more of a road film this time with a lot of chasing going on everything from cars to horses. There's also a chase that ends up back in a cave, his lair. And of course, there's plenty of blood and guts. We're getting to throw trucks off cliffs and a bunch of other stuff I can't talk about.”
Wolf Creek 2 centres around a solo backpacker, rather than a group of travellers, who is in search of the great Australian, traveller adventure. Unfortunately, this backpacker runs in to Mick Taylor and is set to fight for his life. Wolf Creek 2 will be directed by Greg McLean, who directed the first movie, and is set to begin filming in February 2012, with a release date lined up for 2013.
