The new judges on the UK X Factor were expected to cause fireworks and rake in viewers for the latest series, but instead it is old Irish charmer Louis Walsh that has impressed the public and show bosses, and the 59-year-old is the only panellist with a guaranteed seat confrimed in the next series of the talent show.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Syco boss has even ordered television executives to prepare a lucrative contract, believed to be around £1million. An X Factor source confirmed: 'Louis is the only judge who has been verbally offered a deal. Despite all the reports that he has been sacked, he is 100 per cent nailed on to be back - if he wants the job.' The insider also revealed the decision came about as 'Simon trusts Louis', so Walsh can 'plan for the next series if he wants to'.
Walsh has been a judge on the show for eight years, originally joining the reality series in 2004 alongside Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne. Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow will live in limbo for up to five months before decisions are made on their fate. That is if the current judges want their jobs next year, with Gary Barlow making hints that he is not interested in returning to the show.
