X Factor 2010 winner Matt Cardle has promised fans that his debut album is set to be full of anthems, after playing a major part in the song writing for the tracks that go on it. Matt began to get the wheels in motion for his debut album, after the X Factor tour was completed earlier in the year.
Cardle explained, "I"ve been writing with some great people. For me to get my head together and get in the studio and get my inspiration back on track and start writing the album has been great. There's some anthemic stuff in there, there's some very upbeat stuff, there's some stripped-back soulful stuff in there. It's been such a whirlwind."
Matt then stated that he was trying to stamp his personal mark on the album by introducing some of his influences to the songs. "My inspiration is everything I've ever listened to, Michael Jackson, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Dave Matthews Band," said the singer.
It is believed that X Factor creator Simon Cowell is keen to make Matt Cardle the first commendable rock act that the show has produced. Matt Cardle has admitted that his debut album will hopefully be released towards the end of the summer. The album is currently untitled.
