X-Men: Days of Future Past is slowly starting to fill up its cast roster as details start being revealed about the film and its plot. One thing that has consistently been kept under wraps, despite the ever growing tweets from Bryan Singer about new additions to the cast or old actors coming back, is who the villain in the film will be.
When X-Men: Days of Future Past was first announced, it was revealed pretty much immediately that Kevin Bacon's character would be playing the adversary. While the one good thing about the X-Men universe is that not everything and everyone is black and white, there are almost always people that our X-Men are fighting against.
There has been much talk of Sentinels, and many fans are saying that it's hard to imagine a Days of Future Past film without the Sentinels. However, in a new interview, Bleeding Cool may have figured out the main villain that Bryan Singer is keeping under wraps. During the interview, when they question Bryan Singer about the connections between the themes in Days of Future Past and those comics containing the character Apocalypse, Singer's face reportedly visibly changes. When asked whether Singer and Fox would even consider using Apocalypse in the movies, he is reported to have said, "I can’t tell you…"
There's more at the source, with Singer saying that people are starting to piece together bits of information and put it together. Do you think Apocalypse would make a good villain for X-Men: Days of Future Past?
