As an actor you always knew pretty much what you were going to get from a Clint Eastwood movie and you could almost guarantee what sort of character he was going to play. When he turned his hand to directing, Clint proved that he seemed to have much more diversity behind the camera instead of in front of it and that is proven none more so than his new movie Jersey Boys.
There were a few raised eyebrows when it was announced that Clint Eastwood was going to direct the big screen adaptation of Jersey Boys but he seems to have done a very good job. The cast of the movie has been talking about the project and some of them have admitted that they were surprised to have a role, as they fully expected someone like Zac Efron to be in the film.
Actor Erich Bergen, who plays the role of songwriter and backup singer Bob Gaudio, and was also a part of the Las Vegas production, explained, "We used to sit backstage and dream cast the show, because we thought they were not going to use us,” Bergen says. “And so we’d say, ‘What part could Zac Efron play?’"
The Jersey Boys cast includes the likes of Christopher Walken, Francesca Eastwood, John Lloyd Young, Freya Tingley, Vincent Piazza, Kathrine Narducci, Mike Doyle, James Madio, and Aria Pullman, as well as Erich Bergen, with Clint Eastwood as director. The movie is set to hit the big screen in both the US and the UK on June 20.
