Scrubs legend Zach Braff has revealed how he managed to get some help from Drive actress Carey Mulligan on his play All New People. Zach is taking All New People to the UK and enlisted the help of Carey Mulligan to get speech and the mannerisms of the plays characters more in tune with the British public.
Braff explained, "Actually, when we did an early reading of All New People, Carey Mulligan read the role of Emma for us to hear out loud. She was so cute and she filled me in on one or two things in the play that an English woman would never say. Obviously, I was like, 'Oh my God, please, I need that.'" Zach then admitted that he would love to properly work with Carey Mulligan on a project in the future.
He added, "She is one of the hottest young stars right now, she doesn't have time to do a play. But I can't wait to work with her one day. I am the president of her fan club." All New People is set to play between February 8-11 at the Manchester Opera House and then between February 14-18 at King’s Theatre, Glasgow. It will the open on February 22 at London’s Duke of York Theatre for a ten week run.
