Scrubs star Zach Braff plays two characters in the hit movie Oz the Great and Powerful, a human named Frank and an animated monkey named Finley. Zach has now revealed how it was director Sam Raimi's wife who managed to win him the roles in the movie.
Braff was chatting to au.news.yahoo.com, when he explained, "As the story has been relayed to me now, she is a really big fan of the movies I have done and liked my acting. So she was the one saying to Sam 'You haven't seen this? You've got to see this'."
He added, "She kind of championed me for the part, which was amazing and unexpected and humbling because everyone was going for this part. We've become good friends, and he and his wife are me and my girlfriend's favourite double-date couple now. We just went out for sushi the other night."
Oz the Great and Powerful has proven to be a huge success for Disney, managing to gross an impressive $219.5m in the US and $417m worldwide. It has been claimed that there will be an Oz the Great and Powerful sequel but Sam Raimi will not be directing.
